Biographical information
Dr. Guttmannova received her Ph.D. in developmental psychology with a minor in quantitative psychology from the University of Montana, and completed her postdoctoral training at Northwestern University. After that, she worked as a researcher scientist at the Institute for Policy Research and an adjunct faculty/instructor at the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. She joined SSDP/TIP in July of 2009. Broadly, her research has focused on positive development in context (such as the influence of culture, immigration, and poverty on a range of developmental outcomes including socio-emotional adjustment, academic achievement and educational attainment). Her other research interests include quantitative methods and psychometrics. When not working, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, explore new trails, swim, practice yoga, experiment with food, and read good books.
